Assabet Community Education Success Story, Monique, BSN, RN, Practical Nursing Program Graduate

Monique, BSN, RN

Class of 2018
When I decided to become a nurse, I wanted to take steps that worked for my family. I chose to become an LPN first for the experience, quick entrance into the workforce, and the ability to work as a nurse while working towards the RN. I attended Assabet’s program for so many reasons. Their fantastic reputation, length of the program, NCLEX pass rates, cost, and no waitlist to name a few. The staff truly cared about each student as an individual and expanded our critical thinking. I graduated from Assabet with a great foundation to succeed in my nursing career and to further my education. A month after graduating, Assabet helped me land my dream job as a school nurse, where I still work four years later. I recently graduated with my bachelor’s in nursing and just enrolled for my master’s in nursing education. I am so grateful for Assabet and wouldn’t have completed my nursing journey any other way. -Monique, BSN, RN

Courtney Lamb, BSN, RN

Class of 2014
“Once I decided to become a nurse, I knew I wasn’t going to stop until I became an RN. After becoming an LPN, I researched the quickest route for me to obtain my RN, either ADN or BSN. When making the decision, I took into account- how many classes I would need to take, length of the program, admission testing needed, credit given for my LPN license, and flexibility of the schedule. It made the most sense for me to go the LPN to BSN route. I was able to complete the program in 2 years (including summer) and now have so many more opportunities that I wouldn’t have had with my LPN nor an ADN. It was a great investment of my time and money!”
